marching band does tetris
I came across this marching band video while stumbling last night. Who knew band geeks were also game geeks? This band not only sounds great as they play the music from Zelda, Super Mario, and other games, but they move in formation and march into video game related shapes. See what you can identify - I found a scene from Pongo, and Tetris, and they also form the shape of an NES controller.
This had to take weeks of planning and practice!
This was most likely their show for the season which probably took about one month of rehearsals before showcasing it and then continued rehearsals throughout the season. Being an ex-band geek myself, I find it really cool and interesting when a group can not only perform the music but also incorporate visuals that match the music.
