wireless tv watcher
I’m sitting in my family room, doing something I’ve never done before. I’m wireless on my laptop, surfing the web, and sending updates to Twitter, while watching TV. I don’t know why it took me so long to combine my two favorite interests, surfing the internet & television, into one fun pastime. I finally decided tonight that I didn’t need to walk from the family room to the den to check email and IM’s.
The one thing keeping me from doing this all the time is the lack of a mouse. I hate using the touch pad on my laptop. It just doesn’t feel right! I’d feel much more comfortable if I had my mouse and mousepad here at my side…but at that point, it’s not much different from sitting at my desk in the other room!
Cordless Mouse.
I use my belly as a mousepad. You can use an armrest, though. I don’t think our spouses would appreciate it if you used my belly.
I use a cordless mouse too. Can’t stand the touch pad.
You’re living my dream… to be sitting comfortably on the couch while playing online. I’d even settle for a laptop without a mouse!
Since we live in a one bedroom apartment (tiny, tiny), both computer and TV are in the living room. At one point, you had to turn all the way around to see the TV when using the computer, but now I’ve got it where you just turn your head and (woo hoo) TV right there!
I’m not much of a TV watcher, but my wife sure is. One night I left the laptop in the living room after I was done working on it, and she took it over for a couple of days, surfing with one eye and flipping deftly past commercials with the other.
I try not to bring it out there too often anymore.
a cordless mouse would be good for you.
