family guy does star wars
All the geeks love Star Wars. Show me a geek, and I’ll show you a Star Wars fan! That’s why geek shows, like Robot Chicken, and Family Guy, know that Star Wars parodies = geek love. It’s not uncommon to see Yoda show up in a Family Guy scene (he appeared once with Peter’s dead father, and Obi Wan) or to see Chris Griffin in the bathroom having a Darth Vader helmet lowered onto his skull.
So it just makes sense that Family Guy is having a special Star Wars episode to kick off the 5th season of the show, staring the characters we know and love, as the characters we know and love? Brian the family dog as Chewbacca? The pervy old man, Herbert, as Obi Wan? My DVR is already set! Til then, here’s a sneak preview I found online, from a screening at ComicCon. Enjoy!
