supahstar saturday 2/17/07
This is the second edition of Supahstar Saturday - I first want to thank you all for participating in this brand new venture. Later today, I’ll have some stats on how Supahstar Saturday boosted Loretta’s traffic last week. For now though, let’s get on with the show! Our 2nd featured blogger is Marcus Williford, of My Thoughts. I met Marcus quite a few months ago, when his blog was still hosted on the WordPress site. He’s a single guy in North Carolina (any single ladies reading this? I’d be remiss if I didn’t ask on his behalf) who is supplementing his job with PayPerPost, as well as attending college. I’d like to add that Marcus is a nice guy, plain and simple. When I vacationed in the town his brother lives in, he sent me to the bar that his brother works at, and hooked us up with free drinks. He’s campaigned for donations on my behalf for my 3-Day walk, and he’d give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. I can’t wait to meet him at PostieCon in June!
Why do you blog? I blog so I’ll have an outlet for my thoughts. I always wanted to be a writer in high school and now that I’ve discovered blogging I’ve got a creative outlet.
What do you like best about blogging? I love the fact that I write stuff that other people read. I love all of the friends I’ve made due to blogging. I love when I get comments on my blogs from out of nowhere like Robert Scoble commenting on an article about him or a high school soccer player commenting on an article about UNC soccer and telling me how she dreams of playing soccer for UNC. I just love when I discover that people I absolutely don’t expect are reading my blog actually are.
