searching for a ps2 deal

We had planned to buy our new Playstation 2 system at Sam’s Club. We don’t have a membership there, but our friends Russ & Tammy too. Russ told me that Sam’s had a great package deal on a PS2 that included a memory card and an extra controller, and it was a good savings bundle, rather than purchasing those items seperately. Last night he called me from Sam’s Club, and they still have a PS2 bundle, but now it includes games instead of the extra accessories. I think now I’ll just wait to see if PS2 goes on sale, and buy an off brand memory card to save some cash. I’m hoping that since Playstation 3 is now out (even if it is in limited stock) that I’ll be able to find a deal on a new PS2. If anyone knows of any, let me know.

try the video game stores like EB Games. With the PS3 and xbox 360, everyones trading in theirs and you could get a good deal on a used one

There’s always ebay also. My PS2 is actually one of the very first batches from the launch way back when. Knock on wood but it’s still working like a charm even though it feels like Rosanne Barr next to the Kate Moss like figure of the redesigned PS2.

The simple reason is because my son asked for one for Christmas. The longer reason is because we have 2 computers in our house, and 5 people in line to use them. One computer is a work laptop, so I can’t install PC games on it. That leaves one computer for 5 people to share. I can get a PS2 for a lot less than I can buy a new computer.
